Remember when California recalled their governor and replaced him with the Governator, or when Arizona passed Proposition 200? We Texans do not have the right to do that even if we wanted to. We do not have the right of Recall, Voter Initiative or the right to get a statewide referendum placed on a ballot. We Texans do not have the power to bypass the corrupt politicians and take action ourselves. Why? This is something that we should be just as angry over as we are about our lack of border security, because the two go corrupt hand in corrupt hand. The corruption in Texas which allows Austin to collaborate with Washington in ramming illegal immigration down our throats, could not exist if we Texans had the right to place a statewide referendum on the ballot to stop it! Do you realize that Iraqis now enjoy more democracy than Texans? It is time for Texans to rise up and stand for their own freedom. I doubt that Bush would stand with us, as we stand for our own freedom, the way he promised the Iranians.
Dude, you should see NY. We have a bureaucracy that was called the most corrupt at the founding of our nation. Trust me, it's worse here.
